Latest: 17 airlines suspend flights to Dubai International Airport
Travelers planning to pass through Dubai in the coming weeks should check their flight status before heading to the airport. While operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB) are steadily returning after the reopening of UAE airspace, many global carriers are still operating with restrictions or temporary suspensions.
Although Emirates and flydubai continue to maintain broad schedules with reduced operations, several international airlines have delayed their return to Dubai and are gradually adjusting plans as the regional situation develops.
Here’s an updated overview of airlines that have paused services to DXB and their expected return dates.
Greek carrier Aegean Airlines has extended its suspension of flights to Dubai until August 31, 2026. Passengers can choose refunds, travel vouchers, or make ticket changes without extra fees under the airline’s revised policy.
Kazakhstan’s Air Astana has suspended flights to Dubai until May 31, offering affected travelers free rebooking or full refunds.
Latvia’s airBaltic has halted all scheduled Dubai services through October 24 and says flights will restart when operations are considered safe.
Canadian flag carrier Air Canada has canceled its flights to Dubai until September 7. Travelers have several options, including travel credits, destination changes, or future rebooking without penalties.
Air France has paused services through May 27, which also impacts the following return flight from Dubai. Customers can alter travel plans or request cancellations without charges.
Meanwhile, British Airways continues to reduce operations across the region. Its Dubai flights remain canceled through May 31, with flexible booking policies in place for affected passengers.
Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific has removed all flights to Dubai from its schedule through June 30. Travelers can modify routes, rebook trips, or request refunds without standard fees.
Budget carrier Cebu Pacific has also suspended its Dubai operations until May 31, offering passengers the option to rebook or receive a refund.
For travelers flying with Finnair, Dubai bookings remain unavailable until early July. The airline is advising passengers to seek refunds if suitable alternatives cannot be arranged.
As part of the wider Lufthansa Group, Eurowings has extended its flight suspension to Dubai until October 24.
Dutch carrier KLM has paused operations to Dubai through June 28 and continues issuing travel updates as the situation evolves.
The wider Lufthansa Group, including Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, and ITA Airways, has suspended services to Dubai until at least July 11. Capacity restrictions affecting both DXB and DWC airports contributed to the decision.
Turkish airline Pegasus has canceled flights through June 1 and is allowing passengers to reschedule or request a full refund.
Morocco’s national airline, Royal Air Maroc, has suspended operations to Dubai until May 31 and advises passengers to contact their booking providers rather than travel to the airport.
Singapore Airlines has suspended selected DXB services through August 2. Customers affected by cancellations can be moved to alternative flights or receive refunds.
Joint airline venture SunExpress has also suspended its Dubai operations until June 30.
Budget carrier Wizz Air appears to have paused flights as well. While no formal announcement has been published, current schedules show no Dubai routes available until late October.
As flight schedules continue changing, travelers should regularly check directly with airlines before departure. Conditions remain dynamic, and airlines may revise plans with little notice.
This situation continues to evolve, and Dubai-bound passengers should stay alert for updates.
